ENTHUSIASTIC AU PAIR

My name is Mercy Murugi Ngige, and I was raised in a close, loving family of five in Nakuru, Kenya. Growing up with caring parents and three siblings taught me patience, empathy, and the importance of being there for one another. These values shaped who I am today and are the reason I feel naturally connected to children — their innocence, their honesty, and their pure hearts. I am a gentle, calm, and nurturing person who genuinely enjoys being part of a child’s world. I love the small things: their laughter, their curiosity, their endless questions, and even their quiet moments when they just need someone close by. I find joy in creating a warm environment where children feel seen, safe, and understood. Whether it’s helping with routines, engaging in playtime, storytelling, singing, or guiding them through emotions, I always try to be a source of comfort and stability. From 2019 to 2026, I worked in Saudi Arabia as a caregiver, nanny and housekeeper, and part of my responsibilities involved supporting children with physical needs and daily routines. This experience taught me discipline, compassion, patience, and emotional awareness. I learned how to stay calm during challenging moments, build trust, and offer consistent care that helps a child grow confidently. Before that, I also helped care for younger children within my community and family — supporting mothers, assisting with feeding, bathing, helping with homework, and engaging in creative play. These moments strengthened my love for childcare and showed me how even simple acts can make a big difference in a child’s day.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, light cooking, taking peaceful walks, and spending quiet moments reflecting on life. I believe in positivity, kindness, and personal growth. One of my dreams is to build my own home and create a safe, loving space for my family and, someday, for children I hope to support through a small foster home. I hope to join a host family that values warmth, open communication, respect, and genuine connection. I would love to offer your children the same comfort, patience, and emotional support that shaped my childhood. I look forward to becoming a big sister figure in your home, sharing beautiful memories, and learning your culture with gratitude and love.
